Boris Konstantinov


Boris Konstantinov is a graduate of the East-Siberian Academy of Culture and St. Petersburg Academy of Theatre Art, where he was a student of the puppet directing department. Some of Konstantinov’s major works as a director at various theatres include: “It was winter night”, Puppet Theatre, Ufa; “Pit and muff”, Puppet Theatre, Buryatia; “Little gosling”, Puppet Theatre “Brodyachaya Sobachka”, St. Petersburg; “The blue bird”, Theatre Company “Open Space”, St. Petersburg; “Carmen”, Puppet Theatre, Volgograd, name but a few. Since 2013 Konstantinov has been working for the Obraztsov Puppet Theatre, Moscow, as the main stage director. His major works at this theatre include: “Thumbelina”; “Snowman”; “All the others and a dog”; “A scarlet flower”; “The crazy day or the marriage of Figaro”; “Turandot”, etc. Konstantinov is a winner of the Golden Mask National Theatre Award.
